DirtFish Rally School 3-Day Course plus VIP Ride-Along
The pre-eminent rally school in the United States, DirtFish trains drivers in the art of car control on gravel, tarmac, and other low-traction surfaces. Located in Washington state, about 30 miles east of Seattle, DirtFish has singlehandedly brought the sport of rally to the United States, not only through the school itself, but also by partnering with Subaru USA to support professional stage rally and rally cross drivers. This 3-day course starts with the basics of car control, and ends with full-stage rally simulations on DirtFish’s 4-mile stage rally course. The experience includes a Ride-Along with a pro rally driver.

The lucky winner will sit on the bench at the Dean Smith Center during one 2019-2020 UNC Men’s basketball game (any home game EXCEPT the Duke game)! Includes two seats—one on the bench and one directly behind the bench (you may switch off during the game). You’ll be in the locker room for Coach Williams’ pre-game talk, in the huddle during timeouts, and at the post-game press conference.

Glimmering, Shimmering Hope
This stunning glass sculpture was created by children and teens living with T1D, who spent hours at The Olio, a Winston-Salem non-profit glass-blowing studio that focuses on sustainability, empowerment, and community development. Their goal was to create a beautiful beta cell, the kind of insulin-producing cell that does not function in people with T1D. The kids did everything—choosing the colors for their ornaments, firing the glass in furnaces that were over 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit and actually blowing into the glass to shape their ornaments. Finally, the kids and their families came together to affix the ornaments to the huge steel armature designed to mimic the intricacies of a healthy beta cell. The kids hope that JDRF-led beta cell research will someday provide them with a life free of insulin shots and pumps. To them, this sculpture truly represents Glimmering, Shimmering Hope for a life without diabetes.
